Sales Representative

This individual will focus on Inside Sales & Order Fulfillment. The individual will field inbound calls, email and online inquiries as well as manage a territory/accounts assigned. This role is responsible for quoting, order fulfillment and sourcing of product for our customers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Field inbound inquiries from customers via phone, email and online.
  • Generate and follow-up on quotes using established quote guidelines.
  • Initiates outbound calls to dormant accounts to generate leads.
  • Makes face-to-face calls on accounts when required.
  • Maintains customer files and updates as necessary.
  • Order Management – enters orders, reviews inventory, prints work and sales orders and routes as necessary.
  • Inventory – reviews work orders and adjusts inventory to maintain accurate inventory counts.
  • Purchasing – creates purchase orders, input line items, reviews for accuracy and answers all vendor inquiries.
  • Prepares analysis of accounts, as required.

Supervisory Responsibilities
This job has no supervisory responsibilities but interacts regularly with Customer Service, Management and Warehouse personnel.

Education and/or Experience
College Preferred.

Language Skills 
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.  Ability to write simple correspondence.  Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

Mathematical Skills
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.  Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.  Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
